… a piece of 1980’ties technology. It’s not funny, it’s far past lame 🙁
This week I was prepping a two Quad Core, 8GB Ram server. Maybe it’s not SKYNET but my needs are simple 🙂 . I have chosen a Windows Server 2003 R2 system, it’s no surprise that it needs some drivers, but it is frustrating that it must be provided on a 3.5″ floppy diskette, no you can not use your USB pen drive. WTF!
It’s second time I foolishly ordered a server without a floppy drive. First time I had to manually inject drivers into windows installation. I have managed to get the 8’th installation CD with good combination of drivers so windows installation actually seen the RAID controller. This time I have gave early up and call few people looking for a FDD drive.
C’mon MS people give us a break and let floppies RIP.
